Blue (Tony Pape) is a co-founder of ltadventure. He has been working in the adventure business for 27yrs, starting as a climbing instructor at Scarness LEA centre in the Lakes at the age of 15. Since then he has worked in several LEA & commercial centres throughout Europe.
In 1987 Blue worked in Spain teaching kayaking, sailing, windsurfing & snorkeling & the yr after he was head of kayaing at a centre in Italy on the Adriatic. In 1989 Blue was employed as a village manager at a centre in the south of France. They took groups down the Ardeche from there & this is where he fell in love with the open boat. 2 yrs later Blue was the chief instructor at the centre & then became the manager. Blue spent the next 20 yrs moving between the UK & France doing various jobs from centre management through to Ops management. His vocational drive remains with the training of adventure staff & helping people experience new things in new ways in different places, achieving beyond their expectations in the outdoors.
Outside of work Blue enjoys skiing, scuba diving, writing & photography.
Blue lives in the south of France near to the Ardeche river with his beautiful wife & their 5 daughters. Beyond any vocational aspirations his family remain the force behind everything he does.
Chris Dalby worked for a leading adventure company in the early 1990s, with an outstanding record of customer service excellence. After graduating with a BSC (Hons) Maritime Studies and HND in Leisure (Water Based), Chris moved to London and was Sales and Marketing manager for a sports and leisure club before taking a sales and management role with an international training company, responsible for running sales, marketing and operational aspects of a training centre running courses for foreign language students and UK funded courses.
At this time, Chris started learning about manipulating databases and writing software and websites to leverage business activities. Soon Chris decided to go it alone and for the last 10 years has been running various IT services businesses.
Chris is married and lives in Gravesend, Kent in the UK with a dog.
